I get a number of wedding enquiries each year and my response is always the same. I let the bride-to-be know that I don’t specialise in wedding photography. I often assist them in finding a wedding photographer to suit them. I know that a couple of you reading this might be those who pleaded with me to photograph your wedding days & I somewhat reluctantly turned you down because it’s not my specialty. When Anna asked me to photograph her wedding day, I was also going to say no, but she won me over with words like ‘no bridal party’ & ‘no videographer’. We had a chat & I felt that my style of photography could be a match for the style of wedding day her & Peter had planned. So I photographed their wedding day… no flash, no second shooter, no wedding experience other than that time I photographed a wedding at the end of 2008. I may not specialise in wedding photography specifically but I do specialise in photography that captures peoples love & writes a story, so that’s what I did for Anna & Peter on their beautiful wedding day.
Peter & Anna, thank you for the honour.
