Ava.
11 years old.
I started this project in the Summer before her first year of school and now it’s the Summer before her last year of primary school. I remind her that she’s in the last season of her childhood and she should hold on to every last bit of it! She agrees, but she’s also already talking about what she might wear to her year 6 farewell. This last Christmas was the first one where she told us she didn’t believe in Santa and smiled knowingly when we told her we didn’t know what she meant, even so she was still excited about Christmas. She is ordered and organised. Fascinated by the ocean and the creatures that live in it. Dolphins, whales and seals are her favourite. Knows her dolphin facts. Reads everyday. Reads quickly. Finished the Friday Barnes series. Making her way through Harry Potter. Likes to watch old episodes of Full House. Reads her bible. Loves God. Has faith. Thoughtful gift giver. Makes things for people. Prefers quality time with one person over group gatherings. Shy but quietly confident. Mothers her baby sister. Does her own hair. Likes to stay up late. Learning ballet and piano. Self motivated. Descriptive writer. Creative thinker. Fast runner. List writer. Alessia Cara & Cozi Zuehlsdorff fan. Lover of dumplings, chocolate, the pool, reading in bed, dancing, friends, music, bed socks, slippers, cosy feet, chatting with her mama, anything that makes her laugh.
