Day 22| January photo a day project 2018

Their bond delights me. All through my pregnancy people told me our baby would have 3 mama’s and I agreed that they would be great helpers with our baby. I pictured them helping with nappy changes and bringing me a towel to help get her out of the bath. I just didn’t realise how utterly fierce their love for her was going to be. I should have known because I’m a big sister too. They have loved her with mothering hearts from day one and they go above and beyond to take care of her. In return she adores her Ahvuh & Ahkou more than anything in this world. She looks for them whenever they are out of sight. Now this unplanned photo taken before the one I was going to take, is in my project because when they are together I see that they are each other’s joy and if a very large part of my life is used to foster this, then that’s a life lived well.
