I know it’s a cliché thing to say but it really does only feel like yesterday that we set out to buy Ava her first pair of school shoes. But it wasn’t yesterday, it was 3 years ago when Ava was 5.
Buying Anouk her first pair of school shoes made it feel very real. She’s going to walk those shoes down the street and into a classroom in a couple of weeks.
She’s ready for school shoes. She’s ready for school. I’m just not sure I’m ready to lose all those precious hours I usually spend with my little girl.
Do you see how long Ava’s legs got & how grown up she is now. I’m clued in that once they start school they just grow at the fastest rate.
I love how excited Anouk is about her first pair of school shoes. I’m excited too. I quietly also want to press pause on these school holidays & keep her at this stage where her feet don’t even reach the ground while she’s trying on her shoes.
