She loves to read. I told her that if she could finish reading the book ‘Wonder’ during the Summer break, then I would take her to see the movie. So she found a place outside and finished the book before bedtime. A special book to read at her age because the characters are in grade 5 and that’s the grade she just finished. Mostly though for the lessons the story can teach us about choosing kindness. Stories give us the ability to see life from someone else’s perspective. So to be a reader, a writer, a listener, a lover of stories, a story teller…. in whatever form.. this is how we grow. Now her & I are off to a movie date!
