Day 11, 12, 13 , 14, 15, 16 – January photo a day 2014

DAY 11: This holidays the girls started a little gardening project with Pete. They are growing snapdragons & pumpkins. Anouk gets so excited when she sees how much they are growing. Ava says she’s planning to make soup.

DAY 12: Ava’s school friend had the sweetest birthday party with pony rides, cake, strawberries & punch. They are truly the luckiest!

DAY 13: A day in the city. The girls noticed every fountain we passed. They asked if they could play in them. We said “OK but only get your feet wet”. Then little by little they inched their way in until it was inevitable that they ended up drenched. Drenched & happy.

DAY 14: I love days where they get lost in play…. serious play…. pretending to be top secret spys. Their code names are AV7 & AN4 (don’t tell them I told you).

DAY 15: The trampoline is used every single day. I thought this photo of the day would be of them jumping, but instead it was of this moment where they got the giggles because Anouk was pretending to be a rooster.
Apparently hilarious. I love that they make each other laugh.

DAY 16: First friend staying overnight tonight. This brings back so many memories of how exciting sleep over nights were in childhood. An entire day of play that rolls into dinner time & bath time & a movie & dessert & stories & chatting & giggling in bed…. then continues in the morning. At age seven they are showing signs of growing up… after I washed their hair they spent ten minutes brushing it in front of the mirror, then they wrote in their diaries together…. but then at sleep time they took cuddly toys to bed, so I can rest assure that seven is still little.
