These pictures are from our beach holiday in February. On this holiday, I only took a handful of pictures with my camera. All other moments I wanted to document, I did so with my iphone. The main reason being, that with my iphone pictures I tend to edit them in the moment & then share them right away. Where as my camera pictures become something I build up and edit later. In February I was really in need of this break & I decided not to create a stack of pictures to bring home, sort through & edit. However this handful of images that I have finally looked at are so precious to me now. Just a few snap shots that take me back to one day that was filled with beauty.
I often feel like photography is a way of collecting beauty when we don’t want to let it go. We know we can’t hold onto it completely. The moments keep passing by as quickly as the seconds on the clock are ticking. We are always moving forward. Taking another step into the next moment and leaving another behind. A photograph is a way of holding onto something we recognise as worth cherishing. Like a child collecting shells that look like butterfly wings, we can collect the things that make our hearts happy and grateful, with or without a camera.
Beautiful Lisa, Always makes me wonder why I have forgoten to pick up my camera this year. Its been a busy one but its no reason to loose memories xxx have a Beautiful Sunday with your family x
