Dear Anouk, You turned 3 last weekend. It has been 3 years since you were born, on your Grandma’s birthday, making me rush to the hospital before I had served the birthday cake at lunch. You told us this week that your favourite things are; pink, babies, escalators, ice cream, buses and berries (you said this...
Lisa I love love love this post. I love the picture you created of Anouk’s thankfulness for her gifts. It’s exactly what I witnessed from Lucy this week on her birthday. So inspiring. She’s as thankful for a ‘boring’ tshirt as a Tinkerbell doll.
I also love ‘I’m exciting’. Isaac used to say ‘I’m exhausting’. And that he was. 😉 I’m sure you ARE exciting, Anouk. xx
Thanks Sarah! You sharing that about Lucy does not surprise me at all. Many of the pictures of your kids opening their b’day & Christmas gifts with such appreciation have stuck in my head. It’s funny.. when Ava wanted to wrap her ‘creation’ for Anouk I was almost tempted to say it would be a waste of wrapping paper to wrap something that wasn’t one of her actual presents (because we still had to wrap my mums b’day presents & two lots of mothers day gifts). Thankfully I realised that to her it was a ‘real’ gift & so I didn’t say it & I helped her wrap it. What a lesson I learned when Anouk opened it & loved it like any other gift.
Oh Lisa – Happy Birthday to your beautiful little girl. She is such a little doll and I just adore these photos of her and her equally gorgeous sister. xxx
Thank you Sonia!! xx
What lovely sisters they are. Anouk is such a character, whenever I see her she looks so serious but then I see your beautiful photos and it’s clear she is a bit of a comedian!! Beautiful photos of a special day for a special girl. Happy birthday Anouk!
Thanks Bianca, Anouk is quiet around groups of people, but a total character with us. Thanks for being part of her day. xx
