Day 1 | January photo a day project

This is my 4th year of participating in the January photo-a-day project where I take one photo a day of my children for each day in January.

On the 1st of January 2011 & 2012, I took a similar photo of my girls without any intention of it becoming a tradition. Then in 2014 we replicated the photos for my photo-a-day project & this year we thought, ‘why not take another!’

I started this project in the January where Ava was 5 and about to start school. Now she is 8 and about to start grade 3! It is Anouk who is 5 now and she will start school at the end of this Summer break, so this will be my last January holidays before I have two children in school. I am very grateful for this chance to document another precious season in our lives.
