Day 5 & 6 | January photo a day project

Anouk. For the last two days she hasn’t had a day time sleep. She keeps telling me she’s not tired. When I took this photo yesterday she held up two fingers & announced “I am two mum”  & then she yawned the yawn that gives away the fact that two year olds still need to have naps… even if they are so busy playing & so grown up they don’t wear nappies anymore.

Little, clever, independent. She corrects us if we call her anything other than her name, “I’m not sweetie! I’m Anouk!”. She knows who she is. She’s Anouk. Her face, those eyes, her two freckles… today I just wanted a picture of that.
