photo face

We spent a week at the beach last week. We have a number of Summer photo sessions coming up, so now was the best time for a little time out together…

I took lots of spontaneous pictures of the girls in their element playing in the sand & sea. Then I asked them if I could just take one photo of their faces together so I could have a new picture of them to hang on the wall at home.  I don’t often ‘ask’ them for a photo, I just prefer to take photo’s of their real moments & real smiles. I don’t like to interrupt their play for pictures, but the scenery & the light were so pretty. They said “sure mum” & they huddled in so sweetly with their faces together & looked at my camera… I was already picturing this portrait hanging on my wall at home… perhaps on a canvas? Then Anouk informed me that they would only be doing this face for photo’s today…

So I begged a little. Please girls could I just get one picture of you smiling together. I have so many of you playing together or smiling on your own, but just one of you smiling together… please?
Very seriously Anouk in all her two year oldness, shook her head & announced that from now on this is the only face she does for photo’s….
