Ava ran in the door from preschool recently, waving a party invitation in her hand. She was very excited she had been invited to a ‘super hero’ party for Jayden from her preschool class. After the excitement died down she eventually said… “mum?… what’s a super hero?”. I reminded her that she actually did used to pretend she was a super hero when she was much younger (about 2)… she once ran around the house with a pillow case pinned to her back for a cape & tool box in her hand shouting “super saviour to the rescue!!!”, followed by “mum can you help me open my tool box?”. Even super heroes need their mums.
