This night was the main reason my extended family travelled and gathered in the Byron Bay region last week. We were celebrating my dad’s 60th birthday and part of that celebration was a night of live music performed by my dad, John Morris and two brothers Jesse Morris and Kieran Morris.
Seeing my daughters standing in front of a stage with their grandfather and their uncle performing behind them, was reminiscent of my own childhood, when my brother and I would be standing in front of a stage watching our dad.
I love that this gift of music is being passed down and shared through the generations, from my dad to his children and now to his grandchildren.
