This project is about documenting who my children are and the milestones, stages & phases of their lives in the month of January each year. While they did do some baking with their dad, build a cubby house and play a game of spys because it rained all day, no moment from today could really be my photo-of-the-day above this one of them holding the ultrasound photo of the baby we are expecting. So for that reason I am sharing our news much earlier than tradition says I should.
Today was our first ultrasound & I saw a tiny heart beat on a screen and I cried because I had been so afraid that when I walked back out into the waiting room I might not necessarily have happy news to share with my girls, but I was so grateful that I did. It’s different this time because now I feel protective of their hearts as well as mine. I can’t know what the weeks ahead hold, but all of life is like that anyway. I do know what today held though & I choose to celebrate that because today we were happy.
