Ava likes the colour pink.
Anouk likes the colour yellow.
For Christmas we gave them their first cameras in those colours.
They were thrilled.
Ava snapped 30 polaroids on the first day, while Anouk’s film remained unopened & unused for days because she wanted to save it.
Ava is more of a spender.
Anouk is more of a saver.
Ava eats the lollies in her lolly bags right away.
Anouk saves her lollies until the ants find them first.
Photography requires you to be a little bit of a spender and a little bit of a saver.
You need to spend some energy & time in a moment. You need to observe it & act on it there & then, in order to capture it.
You also need to have the heart that wants to save that moment & keep it forever.
